The Legend Duo gives you the best of both worlds: all the soft steam of a Legend stone column inside the sauna, and a big glass fire door out in your lounge or changing room. You load the wood from outside, so there's no mess, ash or interruptions in the hot room, and the fire becomes a feature of the space next door.

The fire chamber passes through the wall into the adjoining room, and the chimney connects at the top inside the sauna. Designed and made in Finland by Harvia.

What's in the complete set

• Harvia Legend Duo wood-burning stove (your chosen model)
• Harvia WHP1500 black insulated chimney set (Ø115 mm): 1.5 m insulated stainless steel chimney, 1 m flue pipe, ceiling lead-through, rubber roof flashing and rain cap
• Harvia WL100 Legend protective bedding (470*665*60–75 mm), the base the stove stands on in the sauna
• Harvia WL260 floor protection plate (800*400 mm) for in front of the fire door in the adjoining room

Both models take 10–15 cm stones: up to 200 kg for the 240 Duo and 260 kg for the 300 Duo.

Can I put it straight into my sauna?

Yes, with the complete set, but a through-the-wall stove needs a little more planning:

• Non-combustible wall section (not included): the wall the fire chamber passes through must be masonry or similar non-combustible material around the opening, built to the dimensions in Harvia's manual. This is usually the biggest job, so plan it with your builder
• Floor: the protective bedding lets the stove stand on a tiled or timber floor in the sauna. The front plate protects a timber floor in front of the fire door
• Safety distances in the sauna: 1,000 mm to the ceiling, 200 mm to the sides, 250 mm behind, and 630 mm (240 Duo) or 700 mm (300 Duo) in front, to anything combustible
• Chimney height: the chimney set suits a standard install through one ceiling and roof. Taller rooms may need an extra WHP500 / WHP1000 section
• Stones: as above

Installation

• Installer: the stove and chimney must be installed following Harvia's manual (downloadable below) and the safety distances in the specifications.
• Ventilation: a fresh-air inlet low down near the stove and an outlet high up on the far side of the room, as shown in the manual.
