Timber saunas are a serious investment, and New Zealand’s UV, rain and coastal air are hard on unprotected wood. Our Sauna Staining Service applies two full coats of premium exterior timber stain to your sauna — product supplied — sealing the grain, guarding against greying and water ingress, and giving you a rich, even finish that lasts.
Ideal at handover on a new build, or as a refresh on an existing sauna that has started to fade.

• Masking and protection of glass, hardware and fittings
• Tidy-up on completion and a care overview so you know when to recoat
Interior sauna surfaces are left untreated by design — stains and sealers must never be applied inside a hot room.

Good to Know
• Staining is weather dependent — we schedule around dry conditions and will rebook at no charge if the weather turns
• Allow drying time between coats; most units are completed same-day, larger cabins may run into a second visit
• Best done before first use, or on a cool, unheated sauna
• Recoating annually is recommended
