Harvia Legend 300 Wood-Burning Sauna Stove

The Legend 300 is the big Legend, built for larger family saunas from 14 to 28 m³. Its tall black steel frame holds up to 260 kg of stones, so the heat is deep and the löyly stays soft and generous for the whole session, even when the fire burns down.

It takes logs up to 47 cm long, has a cast-iron glass door so you can enjoy the fire, and Harvia's modern grate sends part of the air to the top of the fire chamber for a cleaner, more efficient burn. Made in Finland by Harvia.

What's in the complete set

• Harvia Legend 300 wood-burning stove (WK300LD), with glass door, grate, ash box and stone grate
• Harvia WHP1500 black insulated chimney set (Ø115 mm): 1.5 m insulated stainless steel chimney, 1 m flue pipe, ceiling lead-through, rubber roof flashing and rain cap
• Harvia WL120 round protective bedding (Ø624 mm, 60–75 mm high), so the stove can stand on a tiled or timber floor
• Harvia WL260 floor protection plate (800*400 mm) for in front of the firebox door

Recommended stones (not included)

The Legend 300 takes up to 260 kg of 10–15 cm stones. Smaller stones block the airflow, so stick to this size.

Can I put it straight into my sauna?

Yes, with the complete set, as long as:

• Floor: untiled concrete at least 60 mm thick needs nothing extra. A tiled or timber floor needs the protective bedding and front plate, which are in the complete set
• Safety distances are met: at least 1,000 mm to the ceiling. Side, rear and front distances are in the manual, and Harvia's WL200 protective sheath can reduce them in a tight room
• Chimney height: the chimney set suits a standard install through one ceiling and roof. Taller rooms or roofs may need an extra WHP500 / WHP1000 section
• Room size: 14–28 m³. It's a big stove, so it's not a good fit for small saunas
• Stones: 13 boxes, as above

Installation

• Installer: the stove and chimney must be installed following Harvia's manual (downloadable below) and the safety distances in the specifications.
• Ventilation: a fresh-air inlet low down near the stove and an outlet high up on the far side of the room, as shown in the manual.
