Harvia LTY17 Power Extension Unit — Xenio CX170 / Fenix FX170 (Adds 17 kW)

The Harvia LTY17 is a power extension unit: an add-on contactor box that gives your Harvia control system the extra switching capacity it needs to run a bigger heater. It can't run a heater on its own. It sits alongside your Xenio or Fenix control unit and shares the heater load, so a single touch panel can drive a far more powerful heater than the standard power unit could handle by itself.

It's the piece that makes large home saunas, commercial saunas and high-output heaters work with the same modern controls you'd use on a smaller build.

Do you need one?

You'll need an LTY17 if either of these applies:

• Your heater is rated higher than your control unit can switch. A Xenio CX170 or Fenix FX170 handles up to 17 kW on its own, so any heater above 17 kW needs an LTY17. The same applies to the Fenix FX110 above 11 kW.
• Your heater has two power groups. If it's wired with two separate supply cables, the LTY17 is how a single control unit runs both.

Big commercial heaters: the Harvia Virta Pro HL220 (21.6 kW) and the Qube Pro 240 (up to 24 kW) both run on a Fenix FX170 or Xenio CX170 plus one LTY17. For the Qube Pro 360, a control unit plus one LTY17 tops out at 34 kW with each power group limited to 17 kW, which suits its 30 kW setting. The full 36 kW setting needs a different control setup, so talk to us first and we'll confirm the right combination.

Heating a Combi heater with a steamer? That needs the LTY17C instead. The LTY17 is for standard electric sauna heaters.

A genuine Harvia part, designed and engineered in Finland to pair directly with Harvia's own control units and heaters. That means no workarounds or third-party contactors for your big-heater build, and a setup that's documented, certified and supported by the manufacturer.

Installation notes

• Wall-mounted, stainless steel housing. Install it in a dry space outside the sauna room, alongside the control unit's power unit.
• 400 V 3N~ supply. Wiring should be completed by a licensed electrician in line with local regulations.
• Used together with a Harvia control unit only. The heater can't be controlled by the extension unit alone.
