Harvia Legend 240 Wood-Burning Sauna Stove - Legend 240 or 240 SL
The Legend 240 is the classic Legend: a matte black open steel frame packed with 200 kg of stones around a strong steel firebox. All that stone stores a huge amount of heat, so you get soft, rolling löyly even at lower temperatures, and the heat holds even if the fire dies down for a while.
Choose the standard Legend 240, fed from inside the sauna, or the 240 SL, which has a fire tunnel through the wall so you load the wood from the changing room or outside. Both have a cast-iron glass door, adjustable legs and Harvia's modern grate, which sends part of the air to the top of the fire for a cleaner burn. Made in Finland by Harvia.

The Legend 240 takes up to 200 kg of 10–15 cm stones. Smaller stones block the airflow, so stick to this size.
Can I put it straight into my sauna?
Yes, with the complete set, as long as:

Floor: untiled concrete at least 60 mm thick needs nothing extra. A tiled or timber floor needs the protective bedding and front plate, which are in the complete set

Safety distances are met: 200 mm to the sides, 250 mm behind and 630 mm in front to anything combustible (100 mm to non-combustible walls). Harvia's WL200 protective sheath can reduce them in a tight room

Chimney height: the chimney set suits a standard install through one ceiling and roof. Taller rooms or roofs may need an extra WHP500 / WHP1000 section

240 SL: the fire tunnel passes through the wall, so the wall opening must be fire-safe (for example masonry around the tunnel), with the front floor plate in front of the feeding door. Your installer will set this up. Just ask if you'd like us to check your plan
Installation

Installer: the stove and chimney must be installed following Harvia's manual (downloadable below) and the safety distances in the specifications.

Ventilation: a fresh-air inlet low down near the stove and an outlet high up on the far side of the room, as shown in the manual.
